    Kist Bank offer following deposit products:

  3. How is Kist Bank deposit different from other Bank deposit?
  4. Ans:
    Kist Bank offer high interest rate than other Bank .It offer interest on daily balance except on Super Saving which is on monthly minimum balance.
  5. Can I change my deposit account scheme?
  6. Ans:
    No you cannot change your deposit account scheme. You have to open a new account and the amount will be transferred to that account.
  7. What is the maximum limit of transaction I can operate in a day?
  8. Ans:
    There is no limit of transaction except for Khutruke Savings in which one can withdraw only Rs 5000 per cheque. It is advised to inform bank at least 2-3 hours prior, for withdrawal of amount exceeding Rs. 1 million.
  9. How can I close my account?
  10. Ans:
    For closing an account you have to do the followings:
    • Physical presence at the bank is required
    • Fill the account closing application form
    • Return the cheque book
    • Return the ATM card.
  11. What are the charges of closing my account?
  12. Ans:
    If your account is operated for less than a year Rs. 500 is charged other wise Rs 200 is chargeable.
  13. What is Call Account?
  14. Ans:
    Call Account is interest bearing account especially for current account operators. It is opened in the request of current a/c holders. Interest is calculated on daily basis.
  15. Who are eligible to open an account?
  16. Ans:
    Every Nepalese nationals and foreigners with valid Identification Certificates are eligible to open an account except for those listed as criminals and terrorists. Companies /Firms /Trust /Club /Co-operatives /Schools/College /NGOs registered under the prevailing government norms and rules can also open an account.
  17. What are the documents I need to submit to open an account?
  18. Ans:
    Documents you need to submit to open an account are as follows. However the list is subject to change as per NRB directives.
    • Three Photographs.
    • Photo copy of Citizenship card.
    • Photocopy of Students identity card (req. in case of student saving account).
    • PAN, Registration Certificate, MOA , AOA , Board Resolution, Power of Attorney (req. in case of Companies)
    • Birth Certificate , Parent Citizenship (req. in case of minor account)
    • Photocopy of Valid Passport , No objection letter from concern embassy (req. in case of foreign national)
    • Copy of Registration Certificate, Copy of Constitutional Documents , Committee Resolution , Power of Attorney (req. in case of Clubs ,NGOs, Society, Committee, Association etc.)
  19. Do you have ABBS facility? Is there any charge for it?
  20. Ans:
    Yes, We have Any Branch Banking Service (ABBS) facility. There is no charge for it.
  21. What are the benefits of opening the deposit A/C with Kist Bank?

  23. What should I do if I lose my Cheque Book?
  24. Ans:
    If your cheque book is lost then you need to inform the bank immediately. You have to be self present and write an application to the bank. The bank shall then issue a new cheque book charging Rs. 100.
  25. How can I stop my cheque payment? Is there any charge for it?
  26. Ans:
    You can stop your cheque payment through processing an application to bank mentioning the cheque number(mandatory), the bearer on whom the cheque is drawn upon, amount and date on which the cheque is drawn. You will be charged Rs 300 per instruction.
  27. How can I know the detail of my transactions?
  28. Ans:
    You can know the detail of your transactions through bank statement or by logging on to your account through e-banking.
  29. Can I get my Cheque Book from any branches?
  30. Ans:
    No you cannot get cheque book from any branches. You will get the cheque book from that branch where you have submitted the cheque requisition slip.
  31. Can I get my statement from any branches?
  32. Ans:
    No you cannot get statement from any branches. You will get the statement only from that branch where you have opened your account or by logging on to your account through e-banking.
  33. Can I be confirmed about my account secrecy?
  34. Ans:
    Yes the bank guarantees you for maintaining the secrecy of your accounts as per Bank and Financial Institution Act 2063.
  35. What is the minimum balance required to open A/C for various deposit products?
  36. Ans:

    Yes, Foreign nationals can open an account. They are required to submit 3 photographs, copy of valid passport, no objection letter from embassy etc.

  40. Ans:
    Yes, we have 3 types of foreign currency accounts. 1. US Dollar A/c 2. Euro A/c 3. Great Britain Pound A/c
  41. Who are eligible to open foreign currency deposit account? What are the documents require?
  42. Ans:
    Any Nepali citizen and foreign nationals having valid identification certificate or passport and document evidencing income in foreign currency and no objection letter issued by concerned embassy can open foreign currency account. Money Exchangers can open a foreign currency by obtaining license from NRB or concerned authority.
